Two-time defending champions New Zealand scored nine attempts to thrash Canada and record their second win in the 2019 World Cup.
Scott Barrett, Jordie and brothers Beauden moved over as the maximal score of this World Cup was hit by the All Blacks.
They had been given a penalty try after four minutes and Jordie Barrett, Sonny Bill Williams and Beauden Barrett spanned before half-time.
Brad Weber, Rieko Ioane, scott Barrett and Shannon Frizell also believed.
There were four attempts in the first ten minutes at the beginning of the second half as their opponents defence tore apart.
The All Blacks move up in courtesy of 2 wins – outside into second in Pool B – after facing Namibia on Sunday, that they play.
The victory extends New Zealands winning streak at World Cups to 16 matches – their last defeat was to France in the 2007 quarter-final – and continues their record of having never dropped a pool match.
This might not have been this tournaments most balanced experience – pitting the champions of the previous two World Cups against the second-lowest rated team – but the strike of New Zealand was devastating.
They powered on the line within 70 minutes but Canada were able to hold the ball up.
It was not long before the very first try arrived and it did so in imposing trend as New Zealand forced the Canada scrum again on the line below their own articles to get a penalty try.
The All Blacks had risks throughout their team with all fly-half Richie Mounga, that kicked eight conversions, pulling on the strings and Beauden Barrett a constant menace from his position of full-back.
Even the Barrett brothers became the first sibling trio to start at a World Cup for New Zealand and the household hat-trick would have been completed sooner had Scott never dropped the ball when.
Beauden had the chance to score and take the groups total to 70, but he spilled the ball in the final minute when looking certain to score.
On the rare occasions New Zealand did need to shield they did clinically, turning the ball around to repel Canada if they ventured into their 22.
New Zealand saw off one of the main rivals for its trophy, South Africa, in their first pool game and this emphatic win proceeds their momentum since they bid for a third successive World Cup.
