Pittsburgh Steelers confirm Ben Roethlisberger will miss rest of season

After affirming that he needs surgery on his right elbow, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been ruled by the Pittsburgh Steelers outside for the remainder of the season.
Roethlisberger, 37, sustained the injury while attempting a move in the second quarter of Sunday’s 28-26 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks at home.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin stated:“Ben Roethlisberger had an MRI on his knee Sunday evening and it was ascertained from the Steelers‘ medical team that operation is going to be required.
„We hope that the surgery will be scheduled for this week. He will be placed on our own Reserve/Injured List also will be out for the year .“
The Steelers are 0-2 to start the year for only the second time in Roethlisberger livelihood.
Mason Rudolph, a third-round pick at the 2018 draft, entered the match with Roethlisberger harm and completed 12 of 19 passes for 112 yards with one interception and two touchdowns.
Rudolph becomes the starter for the Steelers, who perform with the San Francisco 49ers.
Roethlisberger, who led the NFL signed.
