Steelers vs. Titans NFL Pick – Preseason Week 3

In Nashville, Tennessee Titans and Also the Pittsburgh Steelers meet From the lone game on Sunday in Nissan Stadium.

The Steelers head to Week 3 of the preseason with an ideal resume of 2-0. They have wins over Chiefs and the Buccaneers. Following a quarterback battle, the unit was the most notable for the Steelers last week. They held that a Kansas City crime that was great in check for only 7 points in a 17-7. Sure, Patrick Mahomes playedbut it is not like Chad Henne is utterly dreadful. Hes a veteran that knows his way about an NFL offense.
I might need to acknowledge that it wasnt a wonderful day for anyone. Josh Dobbs threw an interception. That is a major mark against him. Dobbs got third-team repetitions a week. Rudolph did not do anything exciting, but he did shield the ball passed 77 yards on passing.
Rudolph has more upside than Dobbs. I believe this is Rudolphs job to lose, although That is a quarterback contest. For an undrafted rookie from Samford, Devlin Hodges has looked impressive behind Dobbs and Rudolph. Hes making him awfully difficult on the Steelers to reduce. Hodges can find his way on the practice group.
The Steelers went with Rudolph against the Chiefs as their starting QB in Week 2. Ben Roethlisberger is expected to get the start in this one. Itll be his first game action after sitting out Week 2 and 1 of the preseason. Dobbs will be likely to get a look a week, since Rudolph got reps. Dobbs is really going to need to impress with this opportunity. The occupation and another stupid mistake can be Rudolphs.
There are zero doubts about the quarterback turning in Tennessee. Its one of those clearer choices to be made from the NFL. Marcus Mariota is the starting QB, whereas Ryan Tannheill follows in the backup place. Logan Woodside, former Toledo Rocket and AAF alumni, is back and is just hoping to catch onto a roster or practice squad. Mariota will be starting 1 barring an injury. Knock on wood. Head below for our free Steelers vs. Titans select.

As far as Week 1 is worried, Mariota is easily becoming the nod above Tannehill. The way Tannehill and how Mariota perform today is immaterial. When he struggles, its certainly worth mentioning that Tannehill is going to be breathing the throat of Mariota. Not only did the Titans obtained Tannehill to function as copy, but its a means to push on Mariota. He did not perform the Titans wanted season.
Mariota wasnt dreadful, but he is at a stage in his career in which he has to lift everyone up around him. Make them much better players than they are. Mariota passed with 357 yards for 8 interceptions and 11 touchdowns. He should be over his knee harm by today, so there arent going to be any explanations in 2019.
With respects to this preseason game, the Titans are basically going to have just two quarterbacks playing for nearly three quarters of playwith. Tannehill isnt the ideal signal caller you will find in the league, but hes got lots of expertise as a QB at Miami.
He has acted as a rookie for substantially more of his livelihood. Tannehill should be in a position to move the ball against copies when he gets the call in this contest. If he doesnt, then this isnt likely to make Mariota nervous about his job. Tannehill is probably going to take over in this one from the second-half or close to the first-halfs conclusion. By then, the Steelers are not going to be needing their prime defenders out there.
On the Steelers side, they are going to get Roethlisberger out there to get close to a half, then a quarterback conflict between Dobbs and Rudolph. Theres a fantastic chance that at least two of them are likely to be able to place some drives together.
Combined with Mariota and Tannehill, that is four quarterbacks playing in this contest tonight. And if Hodges gets mop-up responsibility for the Steelers, he has been playing well in the preseason, too. There seems to be some value over the OVER in this edition of Sunday Night Football in Nashville, with a posted full of 40.
