Scott McTominay says Scotland’s European Qualifiers are like cup finals

Scott McTominay believes each European Qualifier is a cup final before Scotland’s fixtures against Belgium and Russia this week.
Steve Clarke’s team sit fourth in Group I points following defeats to Kazakhstan and Monday’s opponents Belgium, however, the Manchester United midfielder insists Scotland can qualify.
He explained:“You just have to take every game as a cup final, and it is extremely important for us to keep building on the progress we’ve shown beneath the new gaffer and I really feel like it has two big games where you are able to look at it in two unique manners.
„it is a must-win and it is unquestionably a must-not lose too, so that I feel like you have to take responsibility on the pitch first of all.
„We are not going to settle for anything less than individuals having a perfect move, but of course that is up to the supervisor and the training staff with the way they put up us along with the different ways they want to approach the game.“
McTominay claims that players have begun to embrace the fluctuations Clarke has made in the helm, along with his impact is one he is awaiting.
He added:“It is vitally important for all of us to continue building on the progress we have shown under the new gaffer.
„All of the players have bought into everything that he’s saying, and all of his ways on and off the pitch are somewhat distinct and it is always really favorable to have somebody of the magnitude managing the national team and it is thrilling.“
The 22-year-old, that has established all four of United’s Premier League games this year, says he plans to keep on also preserving that outcomes for United so much have not been exactly what the team have deserved, in addition to improving for the club and country.
